System requirements

The master needs a mysql database for logging session data. The master system might be any nuxsl supported operating system.

The local clients on audited servers communicate each with a local server process. The communication leaves the server using a well known tcp port to the master server.

You can use SSL encryption with private/public key pairs to ensure privacy.

We have an additional german documentation available here.

Installation

All binary downloads are packaged into tar files which unpack into /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/man. The manual pages are the same through all architectures.

Foreign libraries

For the nuxsl programs you will need local installations of shared libraries mhash, openssl and mysqlclient. For your convenience we offer downloads for binary versions of them for systems without default versions for these libraries. The packages are not part of the nuxsl distribution and are offered without support.
